1 Amendment of Article 29 of the Constitution.

1.—Article 29 of the Constitution is hereby amended as follows:

(a) the sentence set out in Part I of the Schedule to this Act shall be inserted in subsection 3 of section 4 of the Irish text after the first sentence,

(b) the sentence set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Act shall be inserted in subsection 3 of section 4 of the English text after the first sentence.

2 Citation.

2.—(1) The amendment of the Constitution effected by this Act shall be called the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.

(2) This Act may be cited as the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution Act, 1987.

Part I

The State may ratify the Single European Act (signed on behalf of the Member States of the Communities at Luxembourg on the 17th day of February, 1986, and at The Hague on the 28th day of February, 1986).
