LegalizeElectoral (Amendment) Act 2012
1. Amendment of Electoral Act 1992.
1.— Section 13A (inserted by section 4 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2001) of the Electoral Act 1992 is amended by inserting the following subsection after subsection (3):
“(3A) A person may use information in the register prepared under section 13, including a draft register or the supplement to the register prepared under section 15, being information which is excluded from the edited register, for the purpose of selecting citizens of Ireland to participate in the Convention on the Constitution called pursuant to a decision of the Government made on 21 February 2012 and approved by resolution of each House of the Oireachtas.”.
2. Short title, collective citation and construction.
2.— (1) This Act may be cited as the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2012.
(2) The Electoral Acts 1992 to 2011 and this Act may be cited together as the Electoral Acts 1992 to 2012 and shall be read together as one.
