1. Amendment of section 279 of Companies Act 2014
1. Section 279 of the Companies Act 2014 is amended—
(a) in subsection (1), in paragraph (a) of the definition of “relevant holding company”, by the substitution of “America,” for “America, and”,
(b) by the insertion, in subsection (1), of the following paragraph after paragraph (a) of the definition of “relevant holding company”:
“(aa) which was incorporated in the State prior to the commencement of section 1 of the Companies (Amendment) Act 2017, and”,
and
(c) in subsection (2), by the substitution of “31 December 2030” for “31 December 2020”.
2. Short title and commencement
2. (1) This Act may be cited as the Companies (Amendment) Act 2017.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.
