La Camera dei deputati ed il Senato della Repubblica hanno approvato;

IL PRESIDENTE DELLA REPUBBLICA

PROMULGA

la seguente legge:

Art. 1

1.Il Presidente della Repubblica e' autorizzato a ratificare lo scambio di note tra l'Italia e la Forza multinazionale e osservatori (MFO) concernente la proroga della partecipazione italiana nella MFO, effettuato a Roma il 24 marzo 1986.

Art. 2

1.Piena ed intera esecuzione e' data allo scambio di note di cui all'articolo 1 a decorrere dalla sua entrata in vigore in conformita' a quanto disposto nello scambio di note medesimo.

Art. 3

1.La presente legge entra in vigore il giorno successivo a quello della sua pubblicazione nella Gazzetta Ufficiale.

Scambio di Note

((TESTO DELLE NOTE Rome, 24 March 1986 Sir, I have the honor to refer to the Participation Agreement between the Italian Republic and the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), effective March 25, 1982, providing for the contribution of a naval contingent to the Organization. This Agreement set forth the terms and conditions of Italy's participation in the Organization, for a term of at least two years, extendable by mutual agreement. Italy's participation was so extended in 1984 for an additional period of two years by an exchange of notes that stated this participation might be further extended. In view of the foregoing and with the approval of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and of the Government of the State of Israel, I have the honor of proposing that the Italian participation in the MFO be continued for a further period of two years commencing March 25, 1986. If this is agreeable to your Government, I propose that this Note, together with your reply to that effect, shall together constitute an agreement effective this date, which, I understand, as far as your Government is concerned, is subject to approval by the Parliament in accordance with Italian Legislation. At the expiration of this agreement, Italy's participation my be further extended by mutual agreement. I wish to confirm in addition that the interpretative understandings related to the Participation Agreement, expressed in a separate exchange of letters of March 16, 1982, shall remain in effect during this additional two-year period. Please accept the renewed assurances of my highest consideration, and my continuing gratitude for the valuable support provided to the MFO by your Government. Peter D. CONSTABLE Director General Hon. CONSTABLE Director General Multinational Force and Observers Visto, il Ministro degli affari esteri ANDREOTTI ---------------- TRADUZIONE NON UFFICIALE Roma, 24 marzo 1986 Signore, ho l'onore di riferirmi all'Accordo di partecipazione tra la Repubblica italiana e la Forza multinazionale e osservatori (MFO), in vigore dal 25 marzo 1982, che prevede l'apporto di un contingente navale alla Organizzazione. Tale Accordo stabilisce i termini e le condizioni della partecipazione italiana nell'Organizzazione, per un periodo di almeno due anni, estensibile mediante mutuo accordo. La partecipazione italiana e' stata cosi' prorogata nel 1984 per un periodo addizionale di due anni mediante uno Scambio di Note in cui veniva stabilito che questa partecipazione poteva essere ulteriormente estesa. In considerazione di quanto precede e con l'approvazione del Governo della Repubblica Araba d'Egitto e del Governo dello Stato di Israele, ho l'onore di proporre che la partecipazione italiana alla MFO sia estesa per un ulteriore periodo di due anni a partire dal 25 marzo 1986. Se cio' e' accettabile dal suo Governo, propongo che la presente Nota, insieme con la sua risposta dello tesso tenore, costituiscano un accordo avente effetto da tale data, prendendo atto che, per quanto riguarda il suo Governo, l'accordo stesso e' soggetto all'approvazione del Parlamento secondo la legislazione italiana. Alla scadenza di questo accordo, la partecipazione dell'Italia potra' essere ulteriormente estesa mediante mutuo accordo. Desidero inoltre confermare che le intese interpretative relative all'Accordo di partecipazione contenute in un separato Scambio di Lettere del 16 marzo 1982, continueranno ad avere effetto durante questo periodo addizionale di due anni. La prego di accettare le rinnovate assicurazioni della mia piu' alta considerazione e la mia continua gratitudine per il prezioso sostegno fornito alla MFO dal suo Governo. Peter D.
