Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1178 of 11 April 2023 correcting certain language versions of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/47 authorising the use of alternative T90 trawls in Baltic Sea fisheries, by way of derogation from Council Regulation (EC) No 2187/2005

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to the Regulation (EU) 2016/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 July 2016 establishing a multiannual plan for the stocks of cod, herring and sprat in the Baltic Sea and the fisheries exploiting those stocks, amending Council Regulation (EC) No 2187/2005 and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 1098/2007 (1), and in particular Article 8 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) The Croatian, Finnish, Greek, Latvian and Swedish language versions of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/47 (2) contain errors in Article 4(1), point (b) as regards the authorisation to use T90 trawls that meet the specifications regarding the number of meshes which shall be 80 meshes round in any circumference in the codend sensu strictu and the extension piece, excluding joinings and selvedges. Those errors affect the substance of that provision.

(2) The Croatian, Finnish, Greek, Latvian and Swedish language versions of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/47 should therefore be corrected accordingly. The other language versions are not affected,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
