Summary
Legalize is an open-source project. We don't sell data, show ads, or build user profiles. We use Google Analytics solely to understand how the site is used and improve it.
Data we collect
When you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects anonymously:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Approximate country and city (anonymized IP)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Referring page
We do not collect names, emails, addresses, or any personally identifiable data.

Your consent
When you first visit Legalize, you'll see a cookie banner. You can:
- Accept cookies: Google Analytics is activated with anonymized IPs.
- Reject: no analytics scripts are loaded.
You can change your decision at any time by clearing cookie_consent from your browser's local storage.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties beyond Google Analytics. The site loads resources from:
- Google Fonts — typefaces (no cookies)
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, and object to the processing of your data. Since we do not store personally identifiable data, these rights are exercised primarily by rejecting analytics cookies.
Nature of the data
All legislative texts published on Legalize are public-domain legal norms sourced from official government gazettes and parliamentary databases. Legislation is not subject to copyright in the European Union (Directive 2019/1024, Article 1(2)(a)) or in most jurisdictions worldwide.
Legalize does not sell laws. The full legislative corpus is available for free as open-source repositories on GitHub, under open licenses, for anyone to download, copy, and redistribute without restriction. The paid API tiers provide convenience features (webhooks, search infrastructure, AI enrichment) and service-level guarantees, not access to the data itself.
