THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 215 thereof,

Having regard to Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/2488 of 9 November 2023 amending Decision (CFSP) 2019/1894 concerning restrictive measures in view of Turkey’s unauthorised drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean (1),

Having regard to the joint proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the European Commission,

Whereas:

(1) Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1890 (2) gives effect to the restrictive measures set out in Council Decision (CFSP) 2019/1894 (3).

(2) Decision (CFSP) 2023/2488 amends the English-language version of the title of Decision (CFSP) 2019/1894.

(3) Regulation (EU) 2019/1890 should therefore be amended accordingly,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The title of Regulation (EU) 2019/1890 is replaced by the following:

‘Council Regulation (EU) 2019/1890 of 11 November 2019 concerning restrictive measures in view of Türkiye’s unauthorised drilling activities in the Eastern Mediterranean’.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
