Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/935 of 21 May 2025 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/918 laying down technical specifications of data requirements for the topic Global Value Chains pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on European business statistics, repealing 10 legal acts in the field of business statistics (1), and in particular Article 7(1) thereof,

Whereas:

(1) In order to produce, in accordance with Article 6(3) of Regulation (EU) 2019/2152, once every three years, data on the topic Global Value Chains listed in Annex I to that Regulation, based on comparable and harmonised data, and to ensure the correct implementation of the topic Global Value Chains by the Member States, the Commission is to specify the variables, measurement unit, statistical population, classifications and breakdowns, data transmission deadline, and first reference period.

(2) The Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/918 (2) should therefore be amended accordingly.

(3) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the European Statistical System Committee,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/918 is replaced by the text in the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

It shall apply as of 31 December 2026.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
