Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2253 of 11 November 2025 correcting certain language versions of Annex I to Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 laying down technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation aircrew pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2018 on common rules in the field of civil aviation and establishing a European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and amending Regulations (EC) No 2111/2005, (EC) No 1008/2008, (EU) No 996/2010, (EU) No 376/2014 and Directives 2014/30/EU and 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, and repealing Regulations (EC) No 552/2004 and (EC) No 216/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Regulation (EEC) No 3922/91 [^ntr1-L_202502253EN.000101-E0001], and in particular Article 23(1) and Article 27 thereof,

Whereas:

• (1) The Estonian and German language versions of Annex I (Part-FCL) to Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 [^ntr2-L_202502253EN.000101-E0002] contain an error in Subpart B, Section 2, point FCL.140.A(c), introductory phrase, as regards the recency requirements for holders of an LAPL(A) with privileges for SEP aeroplanes, and in Subpart H, Section 1, point FCL.710(d), introductory phrase, as regards the requirements that pilots have to fulfil in order to maintain their privileges for another variant of aircraft. The error, introduced by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2076 [^ntr3-L_202502253EN.000101-E0003], affects the substance of those provisions.

• (2) In addition, the Latvian and Portuguese language versions of Annex I (Part-FCL) to Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 contain an error in Appendix 9, Section A, point 1e, as regards the derogation set out in that provision. The error, introduced by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2076, affects the substance of that provision.

• (3) The Estonian, German, Latvian and Portuguese language versions of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 should therefore be corrected accordingly. The other language versions are not affected.

• (4) The measures provided for in this Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the committee referred to in Article 127(1) of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, which was delivered prior to the adoption of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2076,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

(Does not concern the English language.)

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
