Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/180 of 19 January 2026 amending Implementing Regulations (EU) 2021/1426, (EU) 2024/221, (EU) 2023/1333, (EU) 2024/1058, (EU) 2023/1342, (EU) 2024/778, (EU) 2024/2177, (EU) 2019/805, (EU) 2020/163, (EU) 2021/1431 and (EU) 2025/161 as regards the name of the holder of the authorisation for feed additives

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,

Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,

Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on additives for use in animal nutrition (1), and in particular Article 13(3) thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Serine protease, endo-1,4-beta-xylanase, endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase and endo-1,4-beta-glucanase, endo-1,3(4)-beta-glucanase, endo-1,4-beta-xylanase, 6-phytase, protease and muramidase were authorised as feed additives (‘feed additives concerned’) for different animal species by Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2021/1426 (2), (EU) 2024/221 (3), (EU) 2023/1333 (4), (EU) 2024/1058 (5), (EU) 2023/1342 (6), (EU) 2024/778 (7), (EU) 2024/2177 (8), (EU) 2019/805 (9), (EU) 2020/163 (10), (EU) 2021/1431 (11) and (EU) 2025/161 (12).

(2) The holder of the authorisations for the feed additives concerned, DSM Nutritional Products Ltd., has submitted an application in accordance with Article 13(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 proposing to change the name of the holder of the authorisations for the feed additives concerned to Novozymes A/S.

(3) The proposed change of the terms of the authorisations is purely administrative in nature and does not entail a new assessment of the feed additives concerned. The European Food Safety Authority was informed of the application.

(4) To allow Novozymes A/S to exploit its marketing rights, it is necessary to change the terms of the authorisations concerned.

(5) Implementing Regulations (EU) 2021/1426, (EU) 2024/221, (EU) 2023/1333, (EU) 2024/1058, (EU) 2023/1342, (EU) 2024/778, (EU) 2024/2177, (EU) 2019/805, (EU) 2020/163, (EU) 2021/1431 and (EU) 2025/161 should therefore be amended accordingly.

(6) Since safety reasons do not require the immediate application of the amendments made by this Regulation, it is appropriate to allow a transitional period during which existing stocks of the feed additives concerned may be used up.

(7) The measures provided for in this Implementing Regulation are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed,

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

Amendment to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1426

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1426 is amended as follows:

(1) in the title, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products Ltd., represented in the Union by DSM Nutritional Products Sp. z o.o.’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’;

(2) in the second column of the Annex, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products Ltd., represented in the Union by DSM Nutritional Products Sp. z o.o.’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’.

Article 2

Amendment to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/221

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/221 is amended as follows:

(1) in the title, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’;

(2) in the second column of the Annex, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’.

Amendment to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1333

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1333 is amended as follows:

(1) in the title, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products Ltd, represented by DSM Nutritional Products Sp. z o.o.’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’;

(2) in the second column of the Annex, the name ‘DSM Nutritional Products Ltd., represented by DSM Nutritional Products Sp. z o.o.’ is replaced by ‘Novozymes A/S’.

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1058 is amended as follows:

Article 12

Transitional measure

The feed additives concerned, produced and labelled before the date of entry into force of this Regulation in accordance with the rules applicable before that date, may continue to be placed on the market and used until stocks are exhausted.

Article 13

Entry into force

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
