1 Definition.

1.—In this Act the expression “The Principal Act” means the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925 (No. 33 of 1925).

2 Application of Principal Act to county boroughs.

2.—(1) The Principal Act shall apply to a county borough and to the council of a county borough in like manner as it applies to a county and a council of a county.

(2) In the application of the Principal Act to a county borough and to the council of a county borough references therein to a county, county council, secretary of a county council, county surveyor, and county fund shall respectively be construed as references to a county borough, a council of a county borough, town clerk of a county borough, borough surveyor or other the chief engineer of a county borough, and the borough fund, and the reference to a county-at-large charge shall not apply.

3 Short title and citation.

3.—This Act may be cited as the Arterial Drainage (Amendment) Act, 1929, and the Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Arterial Drainage Acts, 1925 and 1929.
