1 Amendment of section 4 of the Railways Act, 1933.

1.—Section 4 of the Railways Act, 1933, (No. 9 of 1933), shall be and is hereby amended in the following respects and shall be construed and have effect accordingly, that is to say:—

(a) by the deletion of the expression “31st day of December, 1935,” wherever that expression occurs in sub-section (1) of the said section 4, and the substitution in every case of the expression “31st day of December, 1937,” for the expression so deleted, and

(b) by the deletion of the expression “1st day of January, 1936,” wherever that expression occurs in sub-section (2) of the said section 4, and the substitution in every case of the expression “1st day of January, 1938,” for the expression so deleted.

2 Short title and citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Railways Act, 1935.

(2) The Railways Acts, 1924 to 1933, and this Act may be cited together as the Railways Acts, 1924 to 1935.
