Constitution (Amendment No. 23) Act , 1936
1 Deletion of Article 27 of the Constitution.
1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of Article 27 thereof.
2 Consequential amendments of Articles 26 and 28 of the Constitution.
2.—(1) Article 26 of the Constitution is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “exclusive of members for the Universities” now contained therein.
(2) Article 28 of the Constitution is hereby amended by the deletion of the words “exclusive of those for members for the Universities” now contained therein.
3 Commencement of this Act.
3.—This Act shall come into operation immediately upon the dissolution of the Oireachtas occurring next after the passing of this Act.
4 Short title.
4.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 23) Act, 1936.
