1 The Act of 1925.
1.—In this Act—
the expression “the Act of 1925” means the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925).
2 Amendment of Third Schedule to Act of 1925.
2.—The Third Schedule to the Act of 1925 is hereby amended by—
(a) the deletion of the reference to Inspectors and the substitution of the following — “Inspectors, of whom there shall be not more than ninety”,
(b) the deletion of the reference to Station Sergeants and the substitution of the following— “Station Sergeants, of whom there shall be not more than seventy”.
3 Short title and collective citation.
3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Gárda Síochána Act, 1945.
(2) The Gárda Síochána Acts, 1923 to 1937, and this Act may be cited together as the Gárda Síochána Acts, 1923 to 1945.
