1 The Principal Act.

1.—In this Act, the expression “the Principal Act” means the Presidential Establishment Act, 1938 (No. 24 of 1938).

2 Amendment of section 1 of Principal Act.

2.—The following subsection is hereby substituted for subsection (1) of section 1 of the Principal Act:—

“(1) The emoluments and allowances to be received by the President in pursuance of section 11 of Article 12 of the Constitution shall be at the rate of eleven thousand five hundred pounds per annum, whereof five thousand pounds shall be the personal remuneration of the President.”

3 Short title and collective citation.

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Presidential Establishment (Amendment) Act, 1947.

(2) The Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Presidential Establishment Acts, 1938 and 1947.
