1 Principal Act.

1.—In this Act “the Principal Act” means the Alginate Industries (Ireland) Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1949 (No. 22 of 1949).

2 Amendment of Principal Act.

2.—Subsection (1) of section 2 of the Principal Act (which empowers the Minister for Lands to expend a sum or sums not exceeding five thousand one hundred pounds in the acquisition of shares in Alginate Industries (Ireland) Limited) is hereby amended by the substitution of “forty-three thousand pounds” for “five thousand one hundred pounds”.

3 Short title and collective citation.

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Alginate Industries (Ireland) Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Act, 1954.

(2) The Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Alginate Industries (Ireland) Limited (Acquisition of Shares) Acts, 1949 and 1954.
