Arterial Drainage (Amendment) Act , 1955

1 Principal Act.

1.—In this Act “the Principal Act” means the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945 (No. 3 of 1945).

2 Amendment of section 37 (3) of Principal Act.

2.—(1) The following paragraphs are hereby inserted in subsection (3) of section 37 of the Principal Act after paragraph (a) of that subsection:

“(a1) such sums as, in the opinion of the Commissioners, represent the value of services provided by the Commissioners by way of plant, machinery, vehicles, tools, stores, spare parts and other engineering equipment, and supplies for the purposes of the maintenance of the said drainage works, and

(a2) such sums as, in the opinion of the Commissioners, represent the annual value of premises provided and maintained by the Commissioners in the locality served by the said drainage works for the purposes of the maintenance of the said drainage works, and”.

(2) Subsection (1) of this section shall be deemed to have come into operation immediately after the passing of the Principal Act.

3 Short title and collective citation.

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Arterial Drainage (Amendment) Act, 1955.

(2) The Principal Act and this Act may be cited together as the Arterial Drainage Acts, 1945 and 1955.
