Road Fund (Grants)(Temporary Provisions) Act , 1962
1 Grants to Road Fund.
1.—(1) During the period of three years beginning on the 1st day of April, 1961, the Minister for Finance may make grants to the Road Fund out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas.
(2) The total amount of the grants made under this section shall not exceed seven hundred thousand pounds.
2 Repeals and consequential provisions.
2.—(1) Subsection (3) of section 1 of the Road Fund (Advances) Act, 1926, and section 3 of the Road Fund (Grants and Advances) (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1959, are hereby repealed.
(2) Any amount which, immediately before the commencement of this subsection, stood not repaid in respect of any sum advanced under section 1 of the Road Fund (Advances) Act, 1926, or section 3 of the Road Fund (Grants and Advances) (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1959, shall, together with the interest then accrued due on such amount, be treated as a non-repayable grant.
(3) Subsections (1) and (2) of this section shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1962.
3 Short title.
3.—This Act may be cited as the Road Fund (Grants) (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1962.
