Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act , 1964
1 Remuneration of Comptroller and Auditor General.
1.—There shall be paid to the Comptroller and Auditor General the same remuneration as is for the time being payable to a Secretary of a Department of State who is remunerated by reference to the rates of pay for general service grades, and the remuneration shall be charged upon and paid out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof.
2 Repeals.
2.—Subsection (1) of section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor-General Act, 1923, section 2 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1947, section 1 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1953, and section 1 of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1959, are hereby repealed.
3 Short title, commencement and collective citation.
3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1964.
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on, and shall have effect as on and from, the 1st day of November, 1961.
(3) The Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1959, and this Act may be cited together as the Comptroller and Auditor General Acts, 1923 to 1964.
