EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effects of the Order are :—

(i) to make certain reductions in customs duties on goods of United Kingdom origin in accordance with the provisions of the Free Trade Area Agreement;

(ii) to maintain in operation the special tariff concessions for certain goods of Northern Ireland origin;

(iii) to exempt from import duty cameras which are designed solely for medical or surgical purposes; and

(iv) to make minor editorial changes in the form of customs tariff.

The Order comes into operation on 1st July, 1967.
