1 Increase of limit on advances.

1.—Section 23 (2) (b) of the Broadcasting Authority Act, 1960, is hereby amended by the substitution for “three million pounds” (inserted by the Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Act, 1964) of “four million pounds”.

2 Amendment of section 2 of Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Act, 1966.

2.—Section 2 of the Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Act, 1966 (as amended by the Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Act, 1971), shall have effect in relation to each of the financial years ending on the 31st day of March, 1973, and on the 31st day of March, 1974, respectively, and accordingly the reference in that section (as so amended) to seven consecutive financial years shall be construed as a reference to nine consecutive financial years.

3 Short title, construction and collective citation.

3.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Broadcasting Authority (Amendment) Act, 1973.

(2) The Broadcasting Authority Acts, 1960 to 1971, and this Act shall be construed together as one Act and may be cited together as the Broadcasting Authority Acts, 1960 to 1973.
