Employment Premium Act , 1976

1 Amendment of section 2 of Employment Premium Act, 1975.

1.—Subsection (3) of section 2 of the Employment Premium Act, 1975, is hereby amended by the substitution of “the 8th day of January, 1977,” for “the 26th day of June, 1976,” and that subsection, as so amended, is set out in the Table to this section.

(3) The Scheme shall—

(a) so far as it applies to agriculture (including horticulture), come into operation on the 3rd day of August, 1975, and

(b) so far as it relates to manufacturing industries, be deemed to have come into operation on the 29th day of June, 1975,

and shall cease to have effect on the 8th day of January, 1977, without prejudice to any conditions of the Scheme which continue to apply after that date.

2 Short title, collective citation and commencement.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Employment Premium Act, 1976.

(2) The Employment Premium Act, 1975 and this Act may be cited together as the Employment Premium Acts, 1975 and 1976.

(3) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 26th day of June, 1976.
