1 Continuance of Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956.
1.—(1) The Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956, shall continue in force until the 31st day of December, 1982, and shall then expire.
(2) The Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (Continuance) Act, 1974, is hereby repealed.
2 Amendment of section 3 of Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956.
2.—The following is hereby substituted for section 3 (4) of the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956:
“(4) Every person who, for the purpose of obtaining for himself or any other person a licence, makes any statement or representation which is to his knowledge false or misleading in any material respect shall be guilty of an offence under this section and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £500.”.
3 Short title.
3.—This Act may be cited as the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (Continuance) Act, 1977.
