AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE PRISONS ACT, 1972. [28th May, 1980].

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:

1 Amendment of Prisons Act, 1972.

1.—Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1972, is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection (1) (inserted by the Prisons Act, 1977) of the following subsection:

  • “(1) This section shall continue in operation until the 31st day of May, 1983.”.

2 Short title and collective citation.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Prisons Act, 1980.
