Trade Disputes (Amendment) Act , 1982
1 Amendment of section 5 of Trade Disputes Act, 1906.
1.—Section 5 of the Trade Disputes Act, 1906, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following definition for that of “workmen” in subsection (3):
“and the expression ‘workmen’ means all persons employed, whether or not in the employment of the employer with whom a trade dispute arises, but does not include a member of the Defence Forces or of the Garda Síochána;”.
2 Short title and collective citation.
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Trade Disputes (Amendment) Act, 1982.
(2) The Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1975, and this Act may be cited together as the Trade Union Acts, 1871 to 1982.
