1 Short title and collective citation.

1.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Údarás na Gaeltachta (Amendment) Act, 1989.

(2) The Údarás na Gaeltachta Acts, 1979 and 1987, and this Act may be cited together as the Údarás na Gaeltachta Acts, 1979 to 1989.

2 Amendment of section 23 of the Údarás na Gaeltachta Act, 1979.

2.—Section 23 of the Údarás na Gaeltachta Act, 1979, is hereby amended by the substitution in subsection (4) of “£80,000,000” for “£60,000,000” (inserted by the Údarás na Gaeltachta (Amendment) Act, 1987) and the said subsection, as so amended, is set out in the Table to this section.

(4) The aggregate at any one time of sums advanced under this section and not repaid shall not exceed £80,000,000.
