Official Languages Act 2003 (Public Bodies) Regulations 2006

I, Éamon Ó Cuív, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1)(a) of section 4 of, and paragraphs 1(5) and 3 of the First Schedule to, the Official Languages Act 2003 (No. 32 of 2003) and with the consent of the Minister for Finance in so far as the Regulations are made under subsection (1)(a) of that section and, to the extent that the Regulations relate to the respective functions of the Taoiseach, the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, the Minister for Health and Children, the Minister for Transport, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the Minister for Education and Science, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, the Minister for Defence, the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources and the Minister for Finance, with the consent of those Ministers of the Government, hereby make the following Regulations, with respect to which, pursuant to subsection (3) of that section, a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

I bhfeidhmiú na gcumhachtaí a thugtar dom le fo-alt (1)(a) d'alt 4 d'Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003 (Uimh. 32 de 2003) , agus le míreanna 1(5) agus 3 den Sceideal a ghabhann leis an Acht sin, agus le toiliú an Aire Airgeadais a mhéid a dhéantar na Rialacháin sin faoi fho-alt 1(a) den alt sin agus, a mhéid a bhaineann na Rialacháin sin le feidhmeanna an Taoisigh, an Aire Ealaíon, Spóirt agus Turasóireachta, an Aire Sláinte agus Leanaí, an Aire Iompair, an Aire Dlí agus Cirt, Comhionannais agus Athchóirithe Dlí, an Aire Oideachais agus Eolaíochta, an Aire Fiontair, Trádála agus Fostaíochta, an Aire Gnóthaí Shóisialacha agus Teaghlaigh, an Aire Cosanta, an Aire Comhshaoil, Oidhreachta agus Rialtais Áitiúil, an Aire Cumarsáide, Mara agus Acmhainní Nádúrtha agus an Aire Airgeadais, faoi seach, le toiliú na nAirí sin, déanaimse, Éamon Ó Cuív, T.D., Aire Gnóthaí Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta, leis seo na Rialacháin seo a leanas ar ina leith, de bhun fho-alt (3) den alt sin, a leagadh dréacht faoi bhráid gach Tí den Oireachtas agus a rith gach Teach díobh sin rún ag ceadú an dréachta:

• (2) These Regulations come into operation on 1 May 2006.

Tugann na Rialacháin seo tuilleadh comhlachtaí poiblí faoi scáth Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003 agus scriosann siad ón gCéad Sceideal ainmneacha comhlachtaí poiblí atá scortha de bheith ar marthain nó de bheith ag oibriú ó ritheadh an tAcht.

These Regulations bring additional public bodies within the scope of the Official Languages Act 2003 and delete from the first Schedule to the Act the names of public bodies that have ceased to exist or to operate since it was passed.
