EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The original provisions were unsuccessfully replaced by the European Union (Animal Health) (Adaptation) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 112 of 2014 ) and the replacement functions contained in these Regulations update and closely replicate the authorised officer functions in the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 (No. 15 of 2013).
