1. Section 292 of Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 - modification of effect for certain period

1. During the period beginning on the date of the passing of this Act and ending on the 31st day of December 2023, section 292 of the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005 shall have effect as if, in subsection (1), the words “child benefit or” were omitted therefrom.

2. Short title and construction

2. (1) This Act may be cited as the Social Welfare (Child Benefit) Act 2023.

(2) The Social Welfare Acts and this Act shall be construed together as one Act.
