1. Amendment of section 1 of Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977
1. Section 1 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 is amended, in subsection (1), by the substitution of “appoint not more than 23 persons” for “appoint not more than 20 persons”.
2. Amendment of section 3A of Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial, Parliamentary, Judicial and Court Offices (Amendment) Act 1998
2. Section 3A of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial, Parliamentary, Judicial and Court Offices (Amendment) Act 1998 is amended, in subsection (1)(a), by the substitution of “not more than 4 specified holders of the office of Minister of State who regularly attend meetings of the Government” for “not more than 3 specified holders of the office of Minister of State who regularly attend meetings of the Government”.
3. Short title
3. This Act may be cited as the Ministers and Secretaries and Ministerial, Parliamentary, Judicial and Court Offices (Amendment) Act 2025.
