Companies (Forms) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1991

Coming into operation: 11th March 1991

The Department of Economic Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 295(3) and 681(1) of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986[^f00001], and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Companies (Forms) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1991 and shall come into operation on 11th March 1991.

Interpretation

In these Regulations:—

• “the 1986 Order” means the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986; and

• “the 1986 Regulations” means the Companies (Forms) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1986[^f00002].

Prescribed form

From 11th March 1991 the form set out in the Schedule is the form prescribed for the purposes of the provision of the 1986 Order which is referred to in that form.

Revocations and transitional provisions

From 11th March 1991 form 295 in Schedule 3 to the 1986 Regulations is prescribed for use by a company to notify a change in the situation of its registered office which occurs before that date, and from that date until 30th September 1991 it is a prescribed form to notify any other change in the situation of its registered office, but is otherwise revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These Regulations prescribe a new form 295 for the purposes of the new Article 295 of the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 as substituted by the Companies (No. 2) (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 as from 11th March 1991.

The Regulations also revoke old form 295 but allow its continued use for the purposes of the new Article 295 until 30th September 1991. The Regulations also prescribe the old form 295 to notify a change in the situation of a company’s registered office which occurs before 11th March 1991.
