The Department of Economic Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) and (3) of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 and paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 1974 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Electricity (1992 Order) (Commencement No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992.

Interpretation

In this Order “the Commencement No. 1 Order” means the Electricity (1992 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992 .

Commencement

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the provisions of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 and the Electricity (Northern Ireland Consequential Amendments) Order 1992 which were not brought into operation by the Commencement No. 1 Order shall come into operation on 1st April 1992.

(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to the provisions set out in the Schedule to the extent mentioned in that Schedule.

Schedule

Provisions of the Order	Subject matter of provisions
Article 34 insofar as it relates to any provision of Schedule 7 not brought into operation by the Commencement No. 1 Order or this Order.	Use, etc, of meters.
Paragraph 1 of Schedule 7 insofar as it relates to any provision of that Schedule not brought into operation by the Commencement No. 1 Order or this Order.	Interpretation.
Paragraphs 2 to 10 of Schedule 7 except paragraph 8(3) of that Schedule.	Use, etc, of electricity meters.
