Made: 26th February 1996

Coming into operation: 10th April 1996

NOW THEREFORE the Department, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 21(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the One-Way Traffic (Belfast) (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 10th April 1996.

Amendment

2

Schedule 2 to the One-Way Traffic (Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 1986[^f00002] shall be amended by the addition thereto of the following items—

Column 1 Column 2
Beechill Road, from its junction with the new roundabout at Purdysburn Road to its junction with Saintfield Road (but excluding the access road to Nos. 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 Beechill Road) Easterly from the new roundabout at Purdysburn Road
The new link road, from its junction with Saintfield Road to its junction with the new roundabout at Purdysburn Road Westerly from Saintfield Road

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order amends the provisions of the One-Way Traffic (Belfast) Order (Northern Ireland) 1986.

The effect of the Order is to introduce a one-way system of traffic in—

Any person who acts in contravention of the Order shall be guilty of an offence under the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale (£1,000).

Traffic signs indicating the effect of the Order have been erected on the roads.
