Coming into operation: 21st January 1997

The Department of Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 2(3) of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981[^f00001] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Modification No. 5) Order (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 21st January 1997.

Modification of the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981

In Part IV of Schedule 1[^f00002] to the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 the list of diseases of poultry shall be modified by substituting for—

(21) Turkey Rhinotracheitis.

Revocation

The Diseases of Animals (Modification) (No. 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 1992[^f00003] is hereby revoked.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order modifies the list of diseases of poultry in Part IV of Schedule 1 to the Diseases of Animals (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.

Article 2 modifies Part IV of the Schedule by substituting for Turkey rhinotracheitis, the disease Avian rhinotracheitis.
