Coming into operation: 23rd December 1999

The Department of Economic Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 44(1) and (3) and 104(3) of the Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998[^f00001] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation, commencement and interpretation

Forms for asking and answering questions

The forms respectively set out in Schedules 1 and 2 are, respectively, hereby prescribed pursuant to Article 44(1) of the Order as forms—

Period for service of questions — county court cases

Period for service of questions — Tribunal cases

In proceedings before the Tribunal, a question shall only be admissible as evidence in pursuance of Article 44(2)(a) of the Order—

Manner of service of questions and replies

A question and any reply thereto may be served on the respondent or, as the case may be, on the person aggrieved—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These Regulations revoke and replace the Fair Employment (Questions and Replies) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1989 with the following changes of substance—
