Made: 12th February 1999

The Department of Finance and Personnel, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998[^f00001] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

This Order may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) (1998 Order) (Commencement No. 1) Order (Northern Ireland) 1999.

Appointed day

The provisions of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998, except Article 6, shall come into operation on 1st April 1999.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order brings into operation on 1st April 1999 the provisions of the Rates (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 with the exception of Article 6 (Crown property).
