Coming into operation: 4th November 2003

The Secretary of State, in accordance with the requirements of section 25 and 26 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 1998[^f00001] hereby makes the following amendment to the regulations:

PART I — GENERAL

Citation and commencement

These regulations may be cited as the Police Service of Northern Ireland (Appeals) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 4th November 2003.

The Royal Ulster Constabulary (Appeals) Regulations 2000[^f00002] shall be amended as follows:

PART II — SUPPLEMENTAL

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (Conduct) Regulations 2003[^f00003] shall be amended as follows:

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These regulations set out the amendments to the Royal Ulster Constabulary (Appeals) Regulations 2000.

In addition provision is made to carry out an amendment to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (Conduct) Regulations 2003.

References to the Royal Ulster Constabulary should also be taken to mean the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
