Coming into operation: 5th October 2003

The Department for Social Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 122(1)(d) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992[^f00001] and now vested in it[^f00002], and paragraphs 3(1) and 20(1) and (3) of Schedule 7 to the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act (Northern Ireland) 2000[^f00003], and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, with the consent of the Department of Finance and Personnel[^f00004], and after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals in respect of those Regulations should not be referred to it[^f00005], hereby makes the following Regulations:

Amendment of the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations

In regulation 4(3) of the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003[^f00007], in inserted paragraph (6C), for the words from “paragraph 4 of Schedule 7” to the end of that paragraph, there shall be substituted “Article 10 or 11 of the 1998 Order or on an appeal under Article 13 of that Order.”.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)

These Regulations amend regulation 4(3) of the Housing Benefit (State Pension Credit and Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003, which inserted paragraph (6C).

Regulation 2 substitutes words in the new paragraph (6C) of regulation 4 of the Housing Benefit (Decisions and Appeals) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 so as to cite provisions in the Social Security Order 1998 (S.R. 1998/1506 (N.I. 10)) relating to revisions, supersessions and appeals.

These Regulations do not impose a cost on business.
