The Department for Employment and Learning[^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) of the Employment Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1999[^f00002], and now vested in it[^f00003], and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

This Order may be cited as the Employment Relations (1999 Order) (Commencement No. 8) Order (Northern Ireland) 2005.

Commencement

The following provisions of Schedule 7 to the Employment Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1999 shall come into operation on 24th September 2005 –

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into operation on 24th September 2005, paragraphs 3 and 4 (to the extent that it inserts Article 9B into the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1981) and paragraph 6 of Schedule 7 to the Employment Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1999. These paragraphs make amendments to Article 7 (Charges), Article 11(2) (Interpretation) and inserts into Article 9 (Offences: cost of investigation) a new Article 9B into the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1981.
