The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety[^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 13(3) and (4) of the Social Security (Northern Ireland) Order 1988[^f00002], and section 171(2) to (5) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992[^f00003] makes the following Regulations:

In the following provisions of the principal Regulations, for the sum of “£13,910”wherever it appears substitute “£14,155”–

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations further amend the Welfare Foods Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1988 (“the principal Regulations”) to increase the limits for entitlement to benefit.

Regulation 2 raises to £14,155 the figure for the upper income level that determines whether a person receiving child tax credit but not working tax credit and who meets other conditions is entitled to benefit under the Welfare Foods Scheme established by the principal Regulations.
