Coming into operation: 1st June 2006

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety[^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 9(5) and 52(1) of the Fire Services (Northern Ireland) Order 1984[^f00002], and now vested in it[^f00003], and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

These Regulations revoke the Fire Services (Discipline) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1985 (“the 1985 Regulations”).

Reports or allegations received and disciplinary charges that have been preferred before the coming into operation of these Regulations continue to be dealt with under the procedures set out in the 1985 Regulations.

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this Rule as it has no impact on the cost of business, charities or voluntary bodies.
