The Drainage Trusts (Dissolution) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006
Made: 26th June 2006
Coming into operation: 31st July 2006
Accordingly the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Drainage Trusts (Dissolution) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 31st July 2006.
Interpretation

In this Order—
- “the 1973 Order” means the Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973; and
- “the Department” means the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Dissolution of drainage trusts

- (1) The trusts listed in the Schedule are hereby dissolved.
- (2) Any property, forming part of any of the trusts, may be disposed of at such time and in such manner as the Department may determine and any funds shall be put to the Consolidated Fund as appropriations in aid.
- (3) All rights, duties, obligations and liabilities arising under the trusts are hereby extinguished.

Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order dissolves the drainage trusts listed in the Schedule and extinguishes all rights, duties, obligations and liabilities arising under the trusts. The Order also provides for the Department to dispose of any property forming part of the trusts and to put the funds to the Consolidated Fund as appropriations in aid.
