The Department for Regional Development makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 43 of the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 2005[^f00001]:

Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as The On-Street Parking (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006 and shall come into operation on 30th October 2006.

Amendments

The On-Street Parking Order (Northern Ireland) 2000[^f00002] shall be amended as follows—

(19) Any person removing a vehicle by virtue of Article 17 may do so by towing, or driving the vehicle or in such other manner as is reasonably necessary and may take such measures in relation to the vehicle as are reasonably necessary to enable him to remove it.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the On-Street Parking Order (Northern Ireland) 2000 (“the Order”) in consequence of the Traffic Management (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 (“the Management Order”).

The effect of the amendment is to delete from Article 2 of the Order the reference to a traffic warden, and to delete from Article 20 the reference to Article 16.

Article 15 of the Order has been amended to take account of Appeals made under the Management Order.

Articles 16 and 18 of the Order have been deleted and Article 19 amended.
