The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment[^f00001], in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1 of the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) (Northern Ireland) Order 2005[^f00002] makes the following Order:

Citation and interpretation

Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into operation of the provisions of the 2005 Order set out in the Schedule is 6th April 2006.

Transitional provision for Article 18 of the 2005 Order

New Article 317A[^f00004] shall have no effect in relation to provisions made before 19th July 2005 which are not void under old Article 318[^f00005].

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the law relating to the provision that may be made in respect of certain liabilities incurred by a company’s directors. Transitional provision prior to the date of Royal Assent is contained in Article 3.
