The Planning (Trees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007

Coming into operation: 12th February 2007

The Department of the Environment makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by Article 65(2) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Planning (Trees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and shall come into operation on 12th February 2007.

Amendment of the Planning (Trees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003

For the Schedule to the Planning (Trees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003[^f00002], (form of tree preservation order) there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations amend the Schedule to the Planning (Trees) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 by removing the requirement for a Tree Preservation Order to be sealed with the Department of the Environment’s Seal and to provide instead that such an Order should be signed by an authorised officer of that Department.
