The Department for Social Development makes the following Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 5(2)(b) and 72(1) of The Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006[^f00001]:

Particulars and information to be contained in rent books

A rent book shall contain the following particulars and information:—

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

Article 5 (1) of The Private Tenancies (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 requires the landlord of a private tenancy to provide the tenant with a rent book. Article 5(2) provides for a rent book to contain such particulars and information as may be prescribed.

Regulation 1 relates to citation, commencement and interpretation.

Regulation 2 sets out the particulars and information to be contained in a rent book.
