The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 3(2) of, and paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 to, the Health and Personal Social Services (Quality, Improvement and Regulation) (Northern Ireland) Order 2003[^f00001].

In Regulation 4(1) (Disqualification for appointment) of the principal Regulations delete sub-paragraph (k).

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations remove the disqualification for appointment relating to persons who hold a paid appointment or office with a trade union which represents the interests of members who are employed by a health service body or a health and social services body.
