Coming into operation: 1st November 2011

The Foyle, Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission, with the approval of the North/South Ministerial Council, makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 13(1) and 14B(1)(b) of the Foyle Fisheries Act 1952[^f00001] and sections 13(1) and 14B(1)(b) of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952[^f00002] and now vested in it[^f00003].

In these Regulations—

Fees for the issue of River Finn angling permits and River Foyle angling permits

The Schedule has effect for prescribing the fee to be paid to the Commission for the issue of a River Finn angling permit and a River Foyle angling permit.

Revocation

The Foyle Area (Rivers Finn and Foyle Angling Permits) Regulations 2000[^f00005] are revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations revoke the Foyle Area (Rivers Finn and Foyle Angling Permits) Regulations 2000.

These Regulations prescribe the fees payable to the Foyle, Carlingford and Irish Lights Commission for the issue of River Finn and River Foyle angling permits.

Section 17 of the Salmon Fishery (Ireland) Act 1863 was repealed by section 211 of, and Schedule 8 to, the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 (c.17 (N.I.)), but by virtue of section 13(4) of Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952, any instrument made under section 17 of the Salmon Fishery (Ireland) Act 1863 which was in force immediately before the date appointed by order made under section 10 of the Foyle Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1952 and applied to the part of the Foyle Area which is in Northern Ireland continued in force and is deemed to be made under section 13 of that Act.
