Coming into operation: 1st April 2011

The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 30D of the Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977[^f00001].

Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Rate Relief (Energy Efficiency Homes Scheme) (Revocation and Savings) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2011.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations revoke, with savings, the Rate Relief (Energy Efficiency Homes Scheme) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 which provided for rate relief for dwellings in respect of which owner-occupiers had made energy efficiency improvements to their home. Savings provisions are made for cases where an application form has been requested from the Energy Saving Trust before 1st April 2011 and an application is subsequently made to the Trust before 1st July 2011.
