The Welfare of Animals (2011 Act) (Commencement No. 3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012

Coming into operation: 1st January 2013
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development[^f00001], makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 59 of the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 2011[^f00002].
Citation

This Order may be cited as the Welfare of Animals (2011 Act) (Commencement No.3) Order (Northern Ireland) 2012.
Appointed Day
2
The day appointed for the coming into operation of—
- (a) Section 6 (docking of dogs’ tails) other than subsections (16) and (17); and
- (b) Schedule 1 (dogs specified for the purposes of section 6(7)),
of the Welfare of Animals Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 is the 1st day of January 2013.
